About the results
Page breaks and text positions come out very close to the original. Hancom-only fonts (such as HCR Batang and Human Myeongjo) are replaced with Nanum Myeongjo and Nanum Gothic in the PDF, so letter shapes may look slightly different.
If the document must match the original exactly, for example for an official submission, save it as PDF from Hancom Office.

Why This Tool
What makes this HWP converter different
Nothing is uploaded
Conversion finishes inside your browser, so tender notices and internal reports can be converted without sending them anywhere.
Real text in the PDF
Pages are not captured as pictures. Text stays text, so you can copy it, search it or paste it into a translator, and the file stays small.

FAQ
HWP to PDF FAQ
What is an HWP file?
HWP and HWPX are the document formats of Hangul (Hancom Office), the word processor widely used by Korean government agencies, schools and companies. Most other apps cannot open them, so converting to PDF is the easiest way to read one.
Is this HWP to PDF converter free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and nothing to install. Drop an HWP file on this page and it becomes a PDF right away. You can add several files at once.
Does it convert HWPX files too?
Yes. Both HWP and HWPX are supported, and you can mix the two formats in one batch.
Can I open an HWP file without Hancom Office?
Once converted to PDF, the document opens in any browser such as Chrome, Edge or Safari, or in any PDF viewer, with no Hancom Office needed. A preview of the first page also appears on screen when conversion finishes.
Are my files stored on a server?
No. Conversion runs only inside the browser you are using, and the file content is never sent anywhere, including HADA Company's servers. The only network use is a one-time download of the conversion engine and fonts.
Will the PDF look exactly like the original?
Page breaks and text positions come out very close to the original. Hancom-only fonts are replaced with Nanum Myeongjo and Nanum Gothic, so letter shapes differ slightly, and in rare cases a page break may shift by a line or two. If the document must match the original exactly, for example for an official submission, save it as PDF from Hancom Office instead.
Can I convert HWP files on my phone?
Yes. Open this page in your phone's browser and pick an HWP or HWPX file with the Choose files button. Long documents may take a bit longer than on a computer.
Can I convert a password-protected HWP file?
Password-protected documents and distribution-only (DRM) documents cannot be converted. Remove the password in Hancom Office first, then try again.
Can I copy or search text in the converted PDF?
Yes. Text is embedded as real text, not as an image, so you can select, copy and search it, and it stays sharp when zoomed in. That also makes it easy to paste into a translator.
